  • + Product Description

The Vigilis VentAir Tree Shelter is a rigid, twin-walled tree guard designed to protect newly planted trees and saplings from browsing animals while supporting healthy establishment and growth. Manufactured from UV-stabilised polypropylene with ventilation channels and perforated holes, the VentAir design improves airflow around the developing tree, helping to reduce humidity build-up and associated disease risk. The green construction also allows useful light transmission, supporting natural growth and photomorphogenesis.

Ideal for tree planting schemes, woodland creation, forestry, agroforestry, rewilding projects, hedgerow planting, estate management and land restoration, these recyclable tree shelters provide a practical solution for protecting young trees from rabbits, hares and deer. The available heights provide protection suited to different browsing pressures, from 60cm protection against rabbits through to taller shelters for larger deer species. Pre-fitted releasable cable ties make installation straightforward and allow the shelter to be opened or removed during tree maintenance.

Made using up to 30% post-consumer recycled polypropylene, the Vigilis VentAir Tree Shelter helps reduce the use of virgin plastic while retaining the strength and durability required for outdoor tree protection. At the end of its useful life, the shelter is 100% recyclable, helping tree planting projects and landowners manage plastic waste responsibly. UV stabilisation provides a lifespan of 6+ years, while the break line and flared rim are designed to minimise the risk of plant strangulation and abrasion as the tree develops.
