GT PP30 30mm Ground Reinforcement Grid is a heavy-duty, permeable plastic ground reinforcement system designed to create stable, hard-wearing surfaces for gravel driveways, car parks, pedestrian paths, access routes and other landscaping applications. Supplied in a clean white finish and sold by the square metre, each square metre contains three interlocking 580 x 580 x 30mm grid sections. The simple interlocking design makes PP30 easy to handle and install while forming a robust cellular structure that helps keep gravel securely in place.
Designed primarily for gravel reinforcement, PP30 provides excellent aggregate retention, helping to reduce gravel migration, spreading and displacement caused by regular vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Its open-cell construction can also support grass growth and is suitable for resin-bound finishes, providing flexibility for both practical and decorative landscaping projects. For gravel applications, mixed-size angular gravel between 5–15mm nominal size is recommended to provide effective cell filling and good aggregate interlock.
Tested to a load capacity of up to 500 tonnes per m² when correctly installed on suitable ground conditions, GT PP30 is suitable for a wide range of domestic and commercial ground reinforcement applications. These include driveways, parking areas, caravan parking, access routes and locations that may occasionally experience heavier vehicle movements, such as oil deliveries or septic tank collections. PP30 is particularly effective for stabilising gravel surfaces. The 30mm deep cellular structure holds aggregate within individual cells, helping prevent gravel from spreading, migrating and becoming displaced beneath vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
For the best results, PP30 should be filled with mixed-size angular gravel with a nominal particle size of 5–15mm. The angular aggregate shape helps the gravel interlock within the cells, creating a more stable and durable finished surface than loose gravel alone.
This makes PP30 a practical option for gravel driveways, parking areas, access routes and other areas where maintaining a neat, stable gravel surface is important.
Although GT PP30 is primarily designed for gravel reinforcement, its open cellular structure can also be used where a grass finish is required. The cells provide space for growing medium and grass roots while helping reinforce the underlying surface.
PP30 is also compatible with resin-bound finishes, making it suitable for landscaping schemes where a more decorative, hard-wearing surface is required. This versatility allows the same ground reinforcement system to be incorporated into different surface designs.
The open-cell construction of GT PP30 provides a permeable ground reinforcement solution, allowing water to pass through the reinforced surface rather than creating a fully impermeable barrier.
