Premium Anti-Bird Plastic Netting with approximately 12mm x 12mm diamond mesh is a strong, lightweight and versatile solution for protecting fruit, vegetables, crops, allotments and garden plants from birds and small animals. Manufactured from UV-stabilised polypropylene plastic, this premium-grade bird netting weighs 35g/m², providing a strong yet easy-to-handle solution for protecting valuable crops without adding significant weight to support structures.
The approximately 12mm x 12mm mesh creates an effective physical barrier against many common garden birds, including pigeons, while allowing sunlight, air and rain to reach plants. The stretched plastic construction provides high tensile strength and helps the netting maintain its shape during outdoor use. Its UV-stabilised, rot-resistant construction makes it suitable for repeated seasonal use in gardens, allotments and horticultural environments.
Supplied in convenient folded packs, Premium Anti-Bird Netting can be installed over fruit cages, vegetable patches, crop protection frames and other growing areas. Available in 2m x 10m and 2m x 50m rolls, it provides flexible coverage for domestic gardens, allotments and larger horticultural projects. The black finish offers a discreet appearance, while the netting can also be used for pond protection to help restrict bird and small animal access and reduce leaves and other debris entering the water.

The approximately 12mm x 12mm mesh creates a physical barrier over crops and growing areas, helping prevent many birds from reaching fruit, vegetables and plants. At the same time, the open diamond mesh allows natural sunlight, airflow and rain to reach the protected plants.
The lightweight stretched polypropylene construction can be positioned over crops, fruit cages and support structures and secured using suitable netting clips, ties, pegs or other appropriate fixings.
Measure the area requiring protection and allow sufficient netting to cover the crop or growing area without excessive tension. Position the netting over the crop, fruit cage or supporting frame and secure it around the perimeter using suitable clips, ties, pegs or other appropriate fixings.
Ensure the netting is securely positioned and that gaps around the edges are minimised where bird or small animal exclusion is required. When using the netting over fruit trees or crops, allow sufficient space for plant growth and avoid placing unnecessary tension on the mesh.
For seasonal use, carefully remove the netting after the protected period, clean if necessary and store it folded in a dry location ready for future use.
The approximately 12mm mesh aperture will prevent many birds from accessing protected areas, but some small butterflies may still be able to pass through. Where complete butterfly exclusion is required, a dedicated anti-butterfly netting with a smaller aperture should be considered.
