GT Grass Reinforcement Mesh GR14 is a heavy-duty 14mm grass reinforcement mesh designed to provide permanent protection and reinforcement for existing grass areas exposed to regular vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The robust raised, oscillated mesh structure helps protect grass from wear, rutting, mud and ground compaction while allowing grass to grow through the mesh and become established. Suitable for vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes on stable ground, GR14 provides a strong, permeable surface for demanding applications where maintaining a natural grass appearance is important.

GR14 grass reinforcement mesh is ideal for domestic and commercial grass driveways, car parks, access roads, event parking, caravan and motorhome parking, building site access, grass verges, equestrian areas and golf buggy routes. The mesh can be installed directly over a suitable existing grass surface, avoiding the need for soil removal or extensive excavation. Installation Guidance

GR14 is designed for installation directly over a suitable existing grass surface. Prepare the area so that the ground is stable, reasonably even and appropriately drained before rolling out the mesh. Secure the mesh firmly using suitable Premium Steel U-Pins to prevent movement while the grass establishes through the reinforcement.

The grass must be allowed sufficient time to grow through and become established within the mesh before the area is subjected to regular traffic. The grass should generally have been mown at least once before use. Premature trafficking can cause damage to the grass, create sinking or uneven areas and reduce the effectiveness of the reinforcement system.

Where additional grip and traction is required, a thin layer of sand can be applied over the mesh. The suitability and performance of GR14 will depend on factors including soil type, drainage, ground stability, vehicle weight, traffic frequency and installation quality. GR14 is particularly suitable for heavy clay and loam soils where the underlying ground is stable.
