Strong 19 Gauge Construction

These 1.8m galvanised chicken wire rolls are manufactured using 19 gauge steel wire, approximately 1.0mm thick, providing a stronger and more substantial mesh than lighter-gauge chicken wire.

The 25mm aperture provides a closer mesh opening for applications requiring smaller openings, while the 50mm aperture provides a larger opening for general-purpose fencing and enclosure applications. Both options benefit from the same robust 19 gauge wire construction.

Flexible Hexagonal Mesh

The hexagonal construction provides flexibility, allowing the chicken wire to be shaped around fencing posts, timber frames, trees, garden structures and other irregular areas. Please Note

The wire is galvanised before twisting. When the mesh is cut, the exposed wire ends may be more susceptible to surface rust where the protective coating has been removed. For long-term outdoor installations, cut ends can be protected using a suitable galvanising spray or paint.
