The Vigilis Bio Mesh Guard is a next-generation soil-biodegradable mesh tree guard designed to protect newly planted trees during their critical establishment period. Developed for forestry, woodland creation, farmers, landowners, estates, tree planting contractors and environmental planting schemes, Vigilis Bio provides effective protection against browsing, grazing and bark stripping while offering a more environmentally responsible alternative to conventional plastic tree guards.

Manufactured from patented 100% soil-biodegradable Vigilis Bio material, these mesh tree shelters are designed to provide approximately 3+ years of functional protection before naturally biodegrading in the soil. This can eliminate the need to return to planting sites to collect traditional plastic tree guards, helping reduce labour, transport and disposal costs. The system is particularly well suited to large-scale planting programmes, remote forestry sites and projects where minimising plastic waste is an important consideration.

The open 12mm x 12mm square mesh provides excellent airflow and light transmission around the developing tree, helping create a natural growing environment. The 130mm diameter gives young trees generous growing space, while the reinforced selvedge edges provide additional strength and help minimise stem abrasion. With five height options from 60cm to 180cm, the Vigilis Bio range can be selected according to the tree species, site conditions and level of browsing pressure.
