The Loam Soil 100% Wildflower Mix is most effective when used on loam and alluvial soils. Sowing is best achieved when the seed is mixed with dry sand, dry sifted topsoil or sawdust and evenly spread. The seedbed should be lightly raked and rolled before this as it is important that the seeds make contact with the moisture in the soil.

- The planting site should be completely weed free, and annual weeds should be controlled through the use of a contact-based herbicide. Good contact between the soil and seeds promises for optimum results.
